Sound Massage for better mind-body connection

Sound therapy, or vibroacoustic, massage is a full body, clothed massage, where a Himalayan singing bowl (or bowls) is placed on the body to create healing vibrations that penetrate our physical structure, and support the mind-body connection.

At VWellness, we use our master bowl, HARA, to work along the meridian lines of the body to help release stagnant energy, emotional blocks and physical discomfort or pain. And where necessary, we use our other bowls on the body, or they are played throughout the session as well.

It’s important to note that the meridian lines are essentially our energy network - channels through which our energy, or Qi, flows. In Chinese Traditional Medicine, the condition of these channels are attributed to our overall health and are strongly believed to impact our mind, feelings, thoughts and physical body.

“Since the human body is over 70% water and since sound travels five times more efficiently through water than air, sound frequency stimulation directly onto the body is a highly efficient means for total body stimulation, especially at a cellular level”
